I was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin one of four kids (one brother and two sisters); early on our family began to move to different towns because of my fathers’ occupation in construction. So by the time I graduated at Francis Howell High School in St. Charles, I had lived in nine different cities across the United States. My family currently resides in the St. Charles – O’Fallon area.
I am a late vocation and didn’t enter Kenrick-Glennon Seminary until I was in my 20’s; and was ordained in 1995. Prior to entering the seminary I had many occupations from ironworker to deck hand on a cruise ship and installing swimming pools. I also worked for Monsignor Mottun at Dempsey’s Charity.
My first assignment was at Mary Magdalen in Brentwood, followed by Incarnate Word, Chesterfield (with Bishop Herman as my pastor), and then St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Charles. My next assignment was as Pastor for St. Agnes, Bloomsdale and St. Lawrence, Lawrenceton. I then was assigned Pastor at Sacred Heart in Crystal City and Assumption parish, Herculaneum. Now I am with you here at St. Simon.
On a personal note, I like to go camping, kayaking and riding my bicycle on the Katy Trail.
Our family has had Green Bay Packer tickets for some time and I attend a game each Winter!
